Deck overview

This deck is an Esper token swarm and aristocrats strategy led by Marneus Calgar. The game plan focuses on deploying efficient early token generators such as Skrelv's Hive, Ophiomancer, Adeline, Resplendent Cathar, and Shorikai, Genesis Engine. Casting Marneus on Turn 4 transforms every token creation event into immediate card draw, generating immense card velocity across all four turns of each rotation. As the board fills with creature tokens, the deck transitions into a lethal threat using mass anthem and overrun effects like Cathars' Crusade, Dollmaker's Shop // Porcelain Gallery, Goldnight Commander, and Akroma's Will, or life-drain engines like Mirkwood Bats and Corpse Knight. Robust interactive spells and board protection like Dovin's Veto, Grand Crescendo, and Inkshield safeguard the army from opposing sweepers. The deck executes a resilient, highly redundant go-wide combat plan that overwhelms opponents through compounded card advantage and wide combat steps.
