Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive Gruul combat engine centered around Anzrag, the Quake-Mole. The strategy exploits Anzrag's massive 8/4 stat line and triggered ability, which untaps all attacking creatures and grants an additional combat phase whenever it becomes blocked. A dense package of 1–2 CMC ramp spells accelerates Anzrag onto the battlefield by Turn 3. The deck then uses forced-block effects such as Roar of Challenge, Compelled Duel, and Invasion Plans alongside cheap instant-speed protection like Gaea's Gift and Snakeskin Veil to repeatedly trigger extra combats, clear opposing boards, and deal lethal commander damage.
