Deck overview

This is a -1/-1 counter value-midrange deck helmed by Auntie Ool, Cursewretch, a card-draw engine that rewards every -1/-1 counter you place on any creature. The deck aims to grind out advantage by blanketing the board with -1/-1 counters using creatures with wither, enters-the-battlefield triggers, and mass spells like Black Sun's Zenith. Proliferate effects (Evolution Sage, Contagion Clasp) spread counters further, while Flourishing Defenses turns each counter into a 1/1 token and Blowfly Infestation chains kills into more counters. The primary win path is combat - deathtouch snakes from Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons, big bodies like Grave Titan, and Ferrafor, Young Yew doubling counters - backed by incremental drain from Lasting Tarfire and Grave Venerations. There are no fast infinite combos; victory comes from relentless value and a board that is both resilient and hard to block.
