Deck overview

Saruman, the White Hand pilots a spell-slinger/amass hybrid: every noncreature spell makes the Army larger, while burn permanents like Fiery Inscription and Guttersnipe punish spell casting. The primary win is a massive Army finished with Chandra's Ignition, Fling/Soul's Fire, or an unblockable double-strike Assault on Osgiliath; Isengard Unleashed triples that damage for a one-turn table kill. The commander is a force multiplier, not strictly the combo piece. Backup lines grind with Wraith tokens and Goblin/Orc combat. The hidden commander is the Army token itself, especially when Wizard's Staff doubles Saruman's amass trigger.
