Format: Commander

Commander: Wilson, Refined Grizzly and Flaming Fist

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a lean, aggressive GW Aura/Equipment Voltron deck built around Wilson, Refined Grizzly and the Flaming Fist Background. The plan is brutally simple: deploy Wilson early, suit him up with cheap auras and equipment, and leverage the Background's double strike to close games via commander damage in a hurry. The deck's low average mana value (2.42) and dense suite of flash equipment and auras mean it can develop a lethal threat faster than most tables can answer it. The commander's built-in ward {2}, reach, vigilance, and trample make him a sticky, evasive beatstick that only gets harder to remove as the auras pile on. Secondary synergies include Kudo, King Among Bears turning the board into 2/2s (which Wilson's pump effects laugh at), Kutzil, Malamet Exemplar for draw and turn protection, and a handful of fight spells that double as removal. This is a deck that wants to end the game before opponents can stabilize.
