Deck overview

This Atraxa, Praetors' Voice deck is a synergistic midrange strategy focused on eliminating opponents via poison counters. Instead of relying on traditional 40-life combat totals, the deck uses low-cost toxic and infect creatures alongside non-combat poison spells like Prologue to Phyresis and Ichor Rats to distribute early poison counters. Once opponents are poisoned, Atraxa and an array of proliferate engines repeatedly increment those counters. Counter multipliers like Tekuthal, Inquiry Dominus and Vorinclex, Monstrous Raider accelerate the clock, turning incidental triggers into lethal increments. The deck features strong board interaction and wipe effects to keep opposing boards clear while ticking poison totals to 10. While resilient and redundant in its themes, the deck lacks tutors and heavy stack interaction, relying primarily on natural draws and permanent-based engines to close out games over several turn rotations.
