Deck overview

This deck is a mono-red Dragon tribal powerhouse piloted by Lathliss, Dragon Queen. The primary strategy centers on establishing early mana acceleration and tribal cost reducers during the opening turns, enabling a rapid deployment of Lathliss on Turn 5. Once Lathliss is on the battlefield, every subsequent nontoken Dragon creates a 5/5 flying Dragon token, rapidly doubling the board's offensive power. High-impact Dragon payoffs such as Utvara Hellkite, Terror of Mount Velus, and Scourge of Valkas convert this token production into lethal combat damage and devastating direct burn. While the deck possesses explosive mid-game damage output and potent asymmetric anti-ground board wipes, it relies heavily on combat steps and creature permanents, leaving it vulnerable to mass creature sweepers and targeted removal against its expensive commander.
