Deck overview

This deck is a classic Dimir Zombie Tribal Aristocrats strategy commanded by Wilhelt, the Rotcleaver. Its primary goal is to establish early Zombie board presence, leverage Wilhelt's passive ability to turn dying nontoken Zombies into decayed tokens, and convert those tokens into card advantage and mana via sacrifice outlets. In the midgame, the deck stacks anthem effects like Death Baron and Lord of the Accursed alongside drain engines such as Bastion of Remembrance and Diregraf Captain. Victory is achieved by grinding down opposing life totals through wide, evasive combat damage and retaliatory aristocrat triggers, closing games around Turn 8 with burst finishers like Gray Merchant of Asphodel or mass reanimation from Zombie Apocalypse. While the deck generates steady card flow and presents lethal board states, it operates primarily at sorcery speed, lacking counterspells and protective spells to safeguard key engines against exile board wipes.
