Venom v4 by KuyaKaiju

Format: Commander

Commander: Eddie Brock // Venom, Lethal Protector

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Jund (B/R/G) transform-commander deck built around Eddie Brock // Venom, Lethal Protector. The front side is a cheap reanimation engine for 1-drops, but the real game plan is to transform into Venom (3BRG, 5/5 with menace, trample, haste). Venom's attack trigger - sacrifice another creature, draw X cards, then put a permanent with mana value X or less onto the battlefield - is the deck's primary value engine and explosiveness. The deck fills its hand with big creatures (Worldspine Wurm, Old Gnawbone, Craterhoof Behemoth), cheats them into play via Sneak Attack, Quicksilver Amulet, or reanimation, then uses extra-combat spells (Aggravated Assault, Relentless Assault, Savage Beating, Seize the Day, World at War) to chain attacks, generate infinite combats with Bear Umbra or Nature's Will, and finish with trample or mass pump. The commander accelerates the chain by putting permanents directly from hand onto the battlefield each combat, but the deck can function without it via other cheat and reanimation lines.
