Deck overview

This Jund deck is commanded by Auntie Ool, Cursewretch and focuses on weaponizing -1/-1 counters, wither mechanics, and aristocrat drain engines. The primary strategy accelerates through early green and artifact ramp to cast Auntie Ool ahead of curve, turning every -1/-1 counter placed on friendly creatures into fresh card draw while draining opponents who receive counters. Midgame development establishes overwhelming token generation and board suppression via Nest of Scarabs, Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons, Yawgmoth, Thran Physician, and Kulrath Knight. The deck closes games decisively through redundant infinite combo lines, most notably Blowfly Infestation paired with token creators and aristocrat payoffs like Blood Artist or Obelisk Spider, as well as persist loops with Murderous Redcap and Grumgully, the Generous or Mikaeus, the Unhallowed. While vulnerable to instant-speed interaction and lacking stack-based countermagic, its high card velocity and resilient recursion ensure fast recovery.
