CMD Unexpected Thief by PapaKenji

Format: Commander

Commander: Bard the Bowman

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Azorius deck helmed by Bard the Bowman is built around the "draw your second card each turn" trigger, generating incremental value through tokens, +1/+1 counters, and card selection. The deck plays a grindy, midrange strategy: deploy cheap cantrips and draw spells to trigger Bard alongside a suite of payoff creatures like Mischievous Mystic, Prince Imrahil the Fair, and Thopter Fabricator. Psychosis Crawler provides an alternate win-condition by converting each draw into life loss. The game plan is slow but consistent, aiming to out-value opponents over many turns through a growing board of tokens and pumped creatures. Interaction is solid with a mix of counterspells, spot removal, and pillowfort effects like Ghostly Prison.
