Deck overview

This is a Selesnya midrange combat deck helmed by Mirri, Weatherlight Duelist. The plan is to develop a board of +1/+1-counter threats and legendary creatures, then attack under Mirri's restriction so each opponent can block with only one creature while she is tapped and only one creature can attack you. Payoffs like Ohran Frostfang, Tadeas, Juniper Ascendant, and Kutzil, Malamet Exemplar convert combat damage into cards, while lifegain and counter doublers (Loading Zone, Doc Samson, Super Psychiatrist, Good-Fortune Unicorn) grow the team. Primary wins are through overwhelming combat; Walking Ballista and large pumps (Colossification, Tyvar, the Pummeler) provide finishers. Mirri is a strong combat enabler and light pillowfort piece but is not required to assemble the deck's threats or its two background combo lines.
