Deck overview

This Bant deck is a synergistic +1/+1 counters midrange strategy led by Tidus, Yuna's Guardian. The game plan revolves around deploying early counter generators like Shelinda, Yevon Acolyte, Incubation Druid, and Hardened Scales, then casting Tidus to manipulate counters and trigger Cheer for card draw and proliferation. As the game develops, the deck scales its creature stats rapidly through amplifiers like Shang-Chi, Martial Mentor, Maester Seymour, and Tromell, Seymour's Butler. Combat evasion from Sphere Grid, Zegana, Utopian Speaker, and Rikku, Resourceful Guardian ensures attacks connect reliably. The deck closes games around turn 8 using devastating combat buffs like Chocobo Knights and Overrun or wiping opposing boards with Damning Verdict. It offers strong engine recovery and compounding value, though it remains vulnerable to exile-based sweepers and heavily interactive control decks.
