Deck overview

This deck is a Golgari Aristocrats strategy helmed by Slimefoot, the Stowaway, focusing on Saproling token generation and death triggers. The game plan centers on building an exponential board of Fungus and Saproling creatures through token engines like Tendershoot Dryad, Mycoloth, and Jade Mage, while utilizing sacrifice outlets like Ashnod's Altar, Nemata, Primeval Warden, and Fungal Plots to convert tokens into mana, cards, and damage. Slimefoot acts as both an outlet and a win condition, draining each opponent for 1 life whenever a Saproling dies while padding your life total. Backup win conditions include mass pump from Saproling lords, life-drain loops with Dina, Soul Steeper, or flinging massive threats with Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord. The deck features efficient Golgari removal such as Deadly Rollick and Assassin's Trophy, backed by defensive spells like Heroic Intervention. It operates at a focused casual pace, steadily grinding out opponents through overwhelming board presence and inevitable life drain.
