Deck overview

This deck is a classic Dimir Zombie Tribal Aristocrats strategy commanded by Wilhelt, the Rotcleaver. The game plan revolves around deploying low-cost Zombie creatures, curving into Wilhelt on Turn 4, and utilizing his triggered abilities to convert expendable creatures into fresh cards and decayed tokens. As the game transitions into the midgame, the deck compounds board advantage using anthem lords like Death Baron and Undead Warchief, alongside potent token generators such as Diregraf Colossus and Headless Rider. Victory is achieved by draining the table with aristocrat staples like Diregraf Captain and Vengeful Dead, bursting life totals with Gray Merchant of Asphodel, or assembling an infinite venture loop with Rooftop Storm and Acererak the Archlich. The deck features solid recursive resilience through graveyard engines, though it remains vulnerable to mass exile effects and dedicated stack-based combo strategies.
