Deck overview

This Golgari deck leverages Chief of the Wilds to create an explosive, combat-focused Wolf engine. By doubling triggered abilities from other Wolves and battles, the commander amplifies every token generator and enter-the-battlefield trigger into massive power. The deck accelerates in the opening turns with efficient green ramp, establishes Chief of the Wilds on Turn 3, and transitions into compounding card draw and token engines by Turn 4. On Turn 5, it presents critical threats like Tovolar's Huntmaster or Hollowhenge Overlord that double up on tokens and rapidly grow the commander into a lethal menace attacker. Game finishes arrive on Turns 6 and 7 through overwhelming combat damage supported by Beastmaster Ascension, Unnatural Growth, or Kindred Summons. While vulnerable to timely sweepers, redundant tribal payoffs, resilient draw engines, and targeted protection ensure reliable mid-game dominance.
