Deck overview

This is a Boros combat/burn deck built around Lightning, Army of One and the Stagger ability. The plan is to get Lightning through with double strike, put the damage-doubling debuff on a player, then finish that player with the second half of double strike, extra combat, and Stagger-doubled burn spells like Lightning Helix. The 99 leans on cheap equipment (Hard-Won Jitte, Gimli's Axe, Holy Avenger), legendary synergies from Theoden, King of Rohan and Eowyn, Lady of Rohan, and a flashback/instant-sorcery package that feeds Fiery Inscription and Thunderdrum Soloist. There are no infinite combos; the primary path is commander damage, with group burn and Monastery Mentor tokens as secondary ways to finish. Raph & Leo, Sibling Rivals is the key hidden commander that turns one good hit into a one-turn kill.
