Deck overview

This deck is an optimized competitive Commander (cEDH) list built around Ob Nixilis, Captive Kingpin. The strategy leverages format-ceiling fast mana and black tutors to assemble game-winning combos by Turn 2 or 3. The primary win condition utilizes Casey Jones, Back Alley Brute, which creates a deterministic infinite 1-damage ping loop with Ob Nixilis to eliminate all three opponents simultaneously. Backing up this primary combo is the premier competitive Underworld Breach package alongside Lion's Eye Diamond and Grinding Station, providing an entirely independent route to victory. The deck's engine also generates immense card advantage through incidental 1-life loss triggers from cards like Orcish Bowmasters, Razorkin Needlehead, and opponents' fetchlands. Protection spells such as Deflecting Swat, Pyroblast, and Hexing Squelcher safeguard the combo turn, while low-cost disruption keeps opposing fast decks in check.
