Deck overview

Tidus, Yuna's Guardian leads a Bant +1/+1 counter deck that plays a patient value game before converting stored counters into a table kill. The commander's beginning-of-combat ability moves counters from utility creatures onto attackers or onto Walking Ballista, while his Cheer trigger draws cards and proliferates after combat damage. The 99 backs him with a dense counter layer: Hardened Scales, Sword of Truth and Justice, Sphere Grid, Fight Rigging, and a shell of Saga enchantment-creatures. Wins come from evasive counter creatures, Strixhaven Stadium's point mechanic, a Sin, Unending Cataclysm + Walking Ballista finish, or Summon: Bahamut's Mega Flare. It is not a fast combo deck; it wants to survive the early turns, grow one or two large attackers, then close out around turn 9-10.
