The Hardrive Got An Upgrade by trapatsas

Format: Commander

Commander: Shorikai, Genesis Engine

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Shorikai, Genesis Engine leads an Azorius stax-control deck that wins by grinding advantage and locking the board, not by fast combo. Shorikai is a repeatable draw engine: you pay {1} and tap it to draw two, discard one, and create a Pilot to crew it as an 8/8. The primary plan sets stax (Blind Obedience, Drannith Magistrate, Grafdigger's Cage, Out of Time) and draw (Rhystic Study, Mystic Remora, The One Ring), then assembles multi-piece loops around Displacer Kitten, Teferi, Time Raveler, and Hullbreaker Horror with mana rocks. A secondary engine uses Smothering Tithe with Copy Enchantment/Mirrormade and Faerie Mastermind for Treasures. Hullbreaker Horror and Teferi act as hidden commanders the deck tutors and protects.
