Deck overview

Wakka, Devoted Guardian is a Selesnya +1/+1 counter deck that accelerates with early dorks, spreads counters, and wins through combat or a compact Heliod combo. Its hidden commander is Heliod, Sun-Crowned, which pairs with Walking Ballista for a one-card kill once Ballista has a single counter and lifelink. Wakka himself is a removal/anthem utility: he deletes an artifact on contact each turn and puts a counter on the whole team if he got a counter. The deck can also go wide with Felidar Retreat, flyers from Abzan Falconer, and double strike from Chocobo Knights. It is not commander-dependent; the counter engine and combo work if Wakka stays in the command zone.
