Deck overview

This deck is a mono-black attrition and resource-denial powerhouse led by Liliana, Heretical Healer. The core strategy revolves around deploying cheap creatures that force all opponents to discard cards and sacrifice permanents. By pairing early discard rats and edict creatures with Liliana's flip trigger, the deck rapidly establishes Liliana, Defiant Necromancer on Turn 4 to control hand sizes and recur key utility creatures. Parity is broken through powerful payoffs like Waste Not, Geth's Grimoire, Tinybones, Bauble Burglar, and Tergrid, God of Fright, converting opposing losses into mana, card draw, and stolen boards. The deck systematically empties opposing hands by Turn 5, suffocating opposing game plans. It closes games by Turn 9 using a combination of reanimated beaters from Breach the Multiverse, stolen permanents via Tergrid, and continuous life drain from Bandit's Talent, Entropic Battlecruiser, and Quest for the Nihil Stone.
