Deck overview

This Azorius midrange deck uses Niko, Light of Hope to turn unassuming Shard enchantment tokens into immediate, non-summoning-sick copies of powerful nonlegendary creatures. By deploying Niko on turn 4 to create Shard tokens, the deck sets up explosive turn 5 plays where creatures like Battle Angels of Tyr, Hero of Bladehold, or Silverwing Squadron are copied twice and swing immediately for massive board and damage swings. A dense suite of flicker effects such as Ephemerate, Brago, King Eternal, and Thassa, Deep-Dwelling provides continuous enter-the-battlefield triggers, card draw, and protection against spot removal. Defensive enchantments like Ghostly Prison and Sphere of Safety stall opposing aggression while Trouble in Pairs and Fierce Guardianship police opposing value engines and combos. The deck wins by snowballing overwhelming token armies and aerial combat damage.
