Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis discard and burn midrange engine commanded by Kefka, Court Mage. The strategy focuses on accelerating mana during the opening turns to deploy Kefka on Turn 4. Once on the battlefield, Kefka forces symmetric discards while converting the diversity of discarded card types into substantial card draw. The deck leverages this flow alongside static punishers such as Liliana's Caress, Fell Specter, and Glint-Horn Buccaneer to steadily drain opponents' life totals. In the mid-to-late game, large mana generation from artifacts, rituals, and Skirge Familiar enables game-ending plays through Torment of Hailfire, Niv-Mizzet, Parun, or transforming the commander into Kefka, Ruler of Ruin. The deck offers robust card velocity and consistent attrition, though it relies on untap steps and creature survival to secure victory.
