Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive Izzet spellslinger storm deck commanded by Ral, Monsoon Mage. The primary game plan focuses on casting Ral on Turn 2 to discount subsequent instants and sorceries, then accelerating through cheap rituals, impulse draw spells, and coin-flip triggers. By Turn 3 and Turn 4, the deck generates high mana velocity using cards like Birgi, God of Storytelling, Storm-Kiln Artist, and red rituals, culminating in a decisive win through Underworld Breach and Brain Freeze to mill all opponents or Grapeshot for lethal damage. The list also features infinite storm loops such as Haze of Rage paired with Storm-Kiln Artist. While the deck lacks top-tier cEDH fast mana like Lion's Eye Diamond and premium free countermagic like Force of Will, its dense package of cantrips, rituals, and low-cost interaction makes it a fast, resilient, and explosive combo deck capable of winning out of nowhere.
