Deck overview

This mono-blue artifact deck is led by Lady Octopus, Inspired Inventor, an efficient one-mana commander designed to cheat massive colorless and blue artifacts onto the battlefield. By drawing two cards on its own turn and capitalizing on opponent turns via effects like The Theorist, Jace Beleren and Rhystic Study, the deck rapidly stacks ingenuity counters on Lady Octopus. Untapping her with tools like Sting, the Glinting Dagger or Minamo, School at Water's Edge allows multiple free deployments in a single turn cycle. The payoff package features formidable threats such as Portal to Phyrexia, Krang, Utrom Warlord, Triplicate Titan, and Cityscape Leveler. Backed by free countermagic, hexproof grants, and robust alternate mana producers like Urza, Lord High Artificer, the deck transitions smoothly from early resource accumulation to overwhelming board presence, closing games through decisive combat pressure.
