Deck overview

Kynaios and Tiro of Meletis commands a classic Group Hug Pillow Fort deck designed to accelerate the entire table while constructing an impenetrable personal defense. By deploying symmetrical card draw engines like Howling Mine, Dictate of Kruphix, and The Council of Four alongside the commander's own ramp and draw triggers, the deck ensures a steady flow of resources. Defensive enchantments such as Ghostly Prison, Propaganda, and Sphere of Safety heavily tax incoming attacks, encouraging opponents to turn their expanded resources against one another. Incidental lifegain from Soul Sisters and Rhox Faithmender keeps the pilot well above starting life totals. The deck leverages this resource surplus to resolve non-combat win conditions, primarily casting and digging back into Approach of the Second Sun, triggering an upkeep victory with Felidar Sovereign, or firing lethal bursts with Aetherflux Reservoir. Broad spot removal, board wipes, and premier defensive spells protect the board until victory is secured.
