Deck overview

Bard, King of Dale leads a synergistic Azorius go-wide token deck that leverages his doubling abilities to amass overwhelming board presence and card advantage. Early turns focus on establishing defensive pillows with Ghostly Prison and deploying repeatable token engines such as Adeline, Resplendent Cathar and The Council of Four. Once Bard enters on turn 6, every token creation and card draw trigger is doubled, turning recruit abilities into card-positive looting and generating vast armies in a single turn. Evasion enablers like Odric, Master Tactician and Odric, Lunarch Marshal ensure your attacking swarm bypasses blockers to eliminate opponents over turns 7 through 9. While the deck generates massive late-game card flow and physical presence, its reliance on natural land drops and vulnerability to mass exile sweepers require deliberate timing and defensive spell management.
