Deck overview

This deck is a high-power Orzhov lifegain, taxation, and combo deck commanded by Liesa, Shroud of Dusk. It controls the pace of the game through asymmetric life taxation while working toward compact infinite drain loops. Liesa's unique commander tax evasion bypasses traditional command tax by paying life instead of mana, ensuring she remains a persistent flying lifelink threat that taxes every spell cast by opponents. The deck's primary victory line utilizes a deterministic two-card combo pairing life-to-damage converters like Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, Enduring Tenacity, or Sanguine Bond with damage-to-life converters like Exquisite Blood or Bloodthirsty Conqueror. Backed by cheap, flexible removal, robust draw engines, and tutor redundancy, the deck maintains steady board control before ending the game on Turn 5.
