Deck overview

This deck is a mono-black control and superfriends strategy commanded by Liliana the Repentant. It focuses on controlling the board state through asymmetric edicts, targeted removal, and powerful sweepers like Toxic Deluge and Blood on the Snow while steadily accumulating mana and card advantage. The deck leverages land-searching artifacts such as Expedition Map and World Map to reliably assemble Cabal Coffers alongside Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth and Crypt Ghast. Planeswalkers such as Tevesh Szat, Doom of Fools, Liliana, Dreadhorde General, and Garruk, Veiled Butcher create a continuous stream of tokens, card draw, and removal to grind down opponents. Once big mana is online, the deck pivots into game-ending finishes via a lethal Torment of Hailfire, Exsanguinate, Command the Dreadhorde, or a storm chain powered by Bolas's Citadel. Abundant graveyard recursion ensures exceptional resilience against board wipes and creature removal.
