Deck overview

The Wise Mothman leads a BUG build that uses forced milling and +1/+1 counters as parallel engines. The primary plan is to land The Wise Mothman and let rad counters, Mesmeric Orb, Ruin Crab, and Altar of the Brood fill graveyards, turning every nonland mill into counters. Those counters drive draw engines, grow creatures, and feed Simic Ascendancy's alternate win condition while setting up two- or three-card combos. The main finish is Food Chain plus Eternal Scourge plus Altar of the Brood for infinite mill; Bloodchief Ascension plus Mindcrank and Ouroboroid plus Sage of Hours are backups. Bruvac the Grandiloquent acts as the deck's hidden general for the mill plan. The commander is a value engine rather than a combo piece, and the deck can still win if he is absent.
