Deck overview

This mono-blue tempo deck is led by Lyra, Tolarian Archangel, turning high-density card draw into an evasive aerial army. By drawing three or more cards each turn through cantrips, burst draw spells, and combat triggers like Robe of the Archmagi, the deck regularly creates 3/3 flying Angel tokens. Ramp artifacts ensure Lyra hits the board on Turn 3, enabling engine operation by Turn 4. Critical pressure mounts by Turn 6 as flying tokens accumulate power with cards like Proft's Eidetic Memory and Favorable Winds. The deck supports its proactive plan with an extensive counterspell and bounce suite, complemented by Samut, Tyrant of Naktamun granting split second to key spells. Alternate win conditions like Psychosis Crawler, Psychic Corrosion, and Triskaidekaphile provide direct avenues to close games if combat stalls.
