Deck overview

This deck is an Esper artifact midrange and aggro list commanded by Urza, Chief Artificer. The primary game plan accelerates low-cost artifact creatures and mana rocks on turns 1 through 3 to deploy Urza on turn 4 using affinity cost reduction. Urza generates a scaling Construct token at each end step and gives all artifact creatures menace. By turn 5, these Constructs become large must-answer threats, eliminating opponents through sustained evasive combat by turn 8. A dense tutor package provides access to situational stax pieces such as Winter Orb, Static Orb, and Drannith Magistrate to stall opponents while breaking parity through token generation. The deck also carries alternate win conditions including Cyberdrive Awakener, Kappa Cannoneer, and the infinite extra-turn engine of Thopter Foundry, Sword of the Meek, and Time Sieve. Robust interaction and defensive tools protect the engine while closing out the game.
