Deck overview

This Gruul deck focuses on accelerating mana rapidly into the command zone to cast Etali, Primal Conqueror ahead of curve. The primary game plan uses a dense suite of two-mana and four-mana ramp spells to produce seven mana by Turn 4. Once Etali enters the battlefield, its triggered ability immediately casts four free nonland spells exiled from the top of all players' libraries, creating an explosive board state. The deck then compounds this initial advantage using temporary creature copy spells, blink effects, and combat triggers like Twinflame, Electroduplicate, Golden Argosy, and Rionya, Fire Dancer. These effects re-trigger Etali to cast additional waves of free spells while applying heavy combat pressure. In the late game, the deck transforms Etali into Etali, Primal Sickness, an indestructible 11/11 trampler that eliminates opponents with poison counters, backed by burst damage from Warstorm Surge and Kessig Wolf Run.
