Deck overview

This deck is a classic mono-black Zombie tribal swarm led by Ghoulcaller Gisa. The primary strategy focuses on deploying undercosted, high-power creatures like Rotting Regisaur and Kalakscion, Hunger Tyrant, then sacrificing them to Gisa to flood the battlefield with 2/2 Zombie tokens. Once the board is established, the deck leverages tribal lords such as Undead Warchief, Death Baron, and Cemetery Reaper to turn the token swarm into an overwhelming combat force, supported by devastating life-drain finishers like Gray Merchant of Asphodel and Mirkwood Bats. The list features strong internal synergy, reliable basic mana sequencing, and effective creature-based attrition through edict effects. However, its heavy reliance on creature combat, absence of dedicated protective equipment, lack of stack interaction, and complete vulnerability to artifact engines make it susceptible to well-timed board wipes and noncreature combo strategies.
