JLK's Smaug | Game Knights #87 by Nathan97

Format: Commander

Commander: Smaug, Wicked Worm

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Smaug, Wicked Worm leads a Rakdos Treasure engine that drowns the table in artifact tokens, converts them into cards via Smaug's draw trigger, and finishes with life-loss payoffs. The deck builds around repeated token creation-Descent into Avernus, Prosper, Magda, and Fable-accelerated by Xorn and Academy Manufactor. The commander's ETB rewards opponents' artifacts, making Descent a key setup. Hidden commander Prosper, Tome-Bound supplies the same exile-treasure draw loop even if Smaug is taxed. Secondary plans: Smaug the Magnificent direct damage, Alchemist's Talent burn, and Mirkwood Bats drain, all backed by a heavy instant-speed removal suite.
