Deck overview

This deck is an Esper spellslinger, control, and life-drain engine led by Y'shtola, Night's Blessed. The primary game plan revolves around deploying Y'shtola and enchanting her with Curiosity-style effects such as Curiosity, Ophidian Eye, or Tandem Lookout. Whenever Y'shtola casts a noncreature spell with mana value 3 or greater, she deals 2 damage to each opponent, triggering the attached Aura to draw three fresh cards while gaining 2 life. This velocity rapidly digs through the library, replenishing resources and setting up clone multipliers like Spark Double and Sakashima of a Thousand Faces. The deck defends its life total and board with defensive stax pieces like Ghostly Prison, Blind Obedience, and Authority of the Consuls while holding efficient interaction like Dovin's Veto and Deadly Rollick. To close the game, it pivots into infinite life-drain loops using Exquisite Blood with Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose or Bloodchief Ascension with Mindcrank.
