Commander: Ardbert, Warrior of Darkness

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This Orzhov legendary tribal deck, helmed by Ardbert, Warrior of Darkness, turns every white and black spell into a global +1/+1 counter engine for your legendary creatures. The primary game plan is to deploy a critical mass of legendary creatures, pump them with Ardbert's triggers, and overwhelm opponents through combat with evasion keywords from cards like Abzan Falconer and Bleeding Effect. Lifegain synergies with Karlov of the Ghost Council, Ayli, Eternal Pilgrim, and Rhox Faithmender provide additional reach and board control. The deck lacks infinite combos, relying instead on incremental value and recursion from Teshar, Ancestor's Apostle, Carmen, Cruel Skymarcher, and Ravos, Soultender to outlast opponents. Winning is a mid-to-late-game affair, taking advantage of a wide board of pumped legends.
