Deck overview

This deck is a classic Mono-Green Stompy build centered around Ghalta, Primal Hunger. The primary game plan accelerates early mana through 1-drop and 2-drop mana dorks into aggressively statted, under-costed creatures like Steel Leaf Champion, Pugnacious Hammerskull, and Regal Imperiosaur. These oversized bodies quickly satisfy Ghalta's cost-reduction ability, enabling the commander to hit the board as early as turn 4 for just two green mana. Card advantage engines like Garruk's Uprising, Elemental Bond, and Rishkar's Expertise leverage these large bodies to refill your hand continuously. Once the board is established, the deck transitions into lethal combat swings starting on turn 5, overwhelming opponents through natural trample and massive multipliers like Unnatural Growth and Overwhelming Stampede. While the deck is susceptible to board wipes and lacks stack interaction, its immense stat density, redundant threats, and rapid recovery allow it to consistently close games by turn 7.
