Deck overview

This Grixis deck is commanded by Kefka, Court Mage, focusing on symmetric hand disruption, high-velocity card draw, and discard-based group slug attrition. The early turns prioritize deploying 2-mana artifacts to cast Kefka on Turn 4, immediately generating card advantage and forcing universal discards. On Turn 5, the deck pivots into critical oppression through wheels like Windfall and Dark Deal, or asymmetric stax pieces like Oppression and Painful Quandary. Static damage enhancers such as Liliana's Caress and Megrim rapidly deplete opposing life totals, while Tergrid, God of Fright and Waste Not convert discarded resources into board presence and mana. A deep package of cheap instant-speed blink spells serves a dual purpose, defending Kefka from targeted removal while multiplying enters-the-battlefield triggers. The deck closes games around Turn 6 through rapid life drain, Tinybones, Trinket Thief activations, or combat with overwhelming stolen boards.
