Sam and Frodo by zyrzyxen

Format: Commander

Commander: Frodo, Adventurous Hobbit and Sam, Loyal Attendant

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Abzan Food/token engine built around the Partner pair Sam and Frodo. Sam provides a Food each combat and discounts Food activations; Frodo turns that life gain into Ring temptations and cards. The primary path is to outvalue with Food, Clue, and Treasure token multiplication, then finish with drain effects or a large board. Secondary paths are infinite loops using Ygra, Cauldron Familiar, Experimental Confectioner, and a sacrifice altar, plus combat pumps from Pippin/Assemble the Entmoot. The Merry/Pippin pair in the 99 functions as a hidden alternate engine rather than a second commander. The deck is commander-relevant but not commander-dependent: engines and combos work if both commanders stay in the command zone.
