Deck overview

This mono-blue control deck uses Urza, Lord High Artificer to convert artifacts into mana acceleration while weaponizing asymmetrical stax pieces. Deployed by Turn 4, Urza creates a scaling Construct token and turns all artifacts into mana sources. On Turn 5, the deck deploys Winter Orb or Static Orb to create a one-sided lock. Urza taps these artifacts right before your untap step, turning off their restrictions on your turn while opponents remain mana-starved. Supported by cheap countermagic and taxing permanents like Trinisphere and Torpor Orb, the deck stunts opposing development. Because the list lacks compact two-card infinite combos and format-ceiling fast mana, it closes the game through combat damage using a massive Construct, animated flying artifacts from Cyberdrive Awakener, and repeated card advantage from Urza's exile ability.
