Deck overview

This is a high-synergy Izzet spellslinger deck helmed by Melek, Izzet Paragon. The core plan leverages Melek's top-deck library-play and copy effect to chain cheap instants and sorceries into massive storm counts, draconic burn, and token swarms. The deck packs multiple engines: Thousand-Year Storm for exponential copies, Past in Flames and Mizzix's Mastery for graveyard recursion, and a dense ritual package (Pyretic Ritual, Seething Song, Mana Geyser, Jeska's Will) to fuel explosive turns. Win conditions are Grapeshot via storm, direct damage from Ral, Storm Conduit and Coruscation Mage with heavy copy spikes, and create from Talrand/Young Pyromancer for combat fallback. The commander is a force multiplier for every spells-for-turn but not strictly a necessary engine; the deck can execute without him with the same play pattern.
