Deck overview

This Selesnya Voltron deck leverages the partner pairing of Wilson, Refined Grizzly and Noble Heritage to deploy an aggressive, resilient commander threat starting on Turn 2. Wilson enters the battlefield with reach, vigilance, trample, ward {2}, and uncounterability, making him an ideal host for +1/+1 counters and equipment. Noble Heritage provides continuous power scaling every upkeep while creating political protection against opponents who accept counters. Supported by dense double strike enablers like Flaming Fist and Duelist's Heritage, Wilson rapidly crosses the 21 commander damage threshold by Turn 5. The 99 is saturated with low-cost hexproof and indestructible protection spells, combat-based card draw engines, and efficient fight-based removal. By attacking with vigilance, the deck applies lethal single-target commander damage while simultaneously maintaining a robust defensive wall against opposing attackers.
