Format: Commander

Commander: Lathril, Blade of the Elves

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Lathril, Blade of the Elves is a Golgari Elf-tribal commander who turns combat damage into a token army and later spends that army on a ten-life-per-opponent drain. The deck leans hard on one-mana Elf mana dorks to accelerate Lathril out on turn three, then uses lords and token makers to flood the board. The primary finish is a massive overrun turn with Finale of Devastation fetching Craterhoof Behemoth, with Beastmaster Ascension and Ezuri as backup pumps; if those are not drawn, Lathril's activated ability closes after four activations. The deck is resilient to single-target removal but vulnerable to repeated mass removal and has no counterspells.
