Howl at the Moon by XanderValore

Format: Commander

Commander: Chief of the Wilds

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Golgari Wolf tribal deck, helmed by Chief of the Wilds, aims to amass an overwhelming board of Wolf tokens and use +1/+1 counter synergies to close out games. The commander's trigger-doubling ability accelerates token production and counter accumulation, turning each Wolf or battle trigger into explosive value. The deck wins through combat with trample-enablers like Overwhelming Stampede and Garruk's Uprising, or by overwhelming with sheer numbers via Beastmaster Ascension. A robust draw engine (Beast Whisperer, Guardian Project, Vanquisher's Banner) keeps the hand full, while recursion from Cauldron of Essence and Eternal Witness provides resilience. The primary plan is midrange and combat-focused, with no infinite combos but steady incremental advantage.
