Format: Commander

Commander: Thranduil the Strategist

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This deck is a Simic Elf tribal landfall value engine helmed by Thranduil the Strategist. The primary game plan is to flood the board with Elf tokens via landfall triggers, pump them with lords like Dwynen, Gilt-Leaf Daen and Imperious Perfect, and finish with an explosive Craterhoof Behemoth or Finale of Devastation for X 10. The commander gives other Elves a mana-dork ability and creates a token on each landfall, synergizing beautifully with the deck's heavy land-ramp package (13 ramp spells) and token doublers like Parallel Lives and Doubling Season. Secondary win options include Ezuri, Renegade Leader's overrun effect and an overwhelming go-wide board backed by Coat of Arms. The deck is slower and durdly, relying on incremental advantage rather than early combos.
