Deck overview

This deck is a mono-black Aristocrats and attrition strategy led by Fumulus, the Infestation. The game plan revolves around casting symmetric sacrifice effects and edicts to clear opposing creature boards while triggering Fumulus to amass a swarm of 1/1 flying Insect tokens. These tokens serve as both an evasive aerial clock with built-in attack drain and expendable fuel for sacrifice outlets and card draw engines like Skullclamp, Ayara, First of Locthwain, and Plumb the Forbidden. Supported by powerful attrition engines such as Grave Pact and drain payoffs like Bastion of Remembrance, Blood Artist, and Mirkwood Bats, the deck drains all three opponents simultaneously while keeping the battlefield clear. Although it lacks stack protection and fast mana acceleration, its high redundancy in recursive creatures and death payoffs provides dependable resilience and inevitable late-game pressure.
