Deck overview

The Serpent Society leads a Golgari deathtouch, sacrifice, and poison deck. Your commander acts as an aggressive board control engine and deterrent: opponents who target it suffer five poison counters from ward, while your dying deathtouch creatures trigger forced nontoken edicts across the table. You develop low-cost deathtouch attackers to establish early poison counters through toxic and Fynn, the Fangbearer, then scale lethal pressure using proliferate effects like Bloated Contaminator and Evolution Sage. Alternatively, you overwhelm defenses with Beastmaster Ascension, Triumph of the Hordes, or high-value attrition engines such as Tergrid, God of Fright and Grave Pact.
