Format: Commander

Commander: Maralen, Fae Ascendant

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Maralen, Fae Ascendant is a Sultai Elf-ball engine that exiles cards from an opponent's library and lets you free-cast them once your Elf/Faerie count is high. The primary path is to build a wide Elf board with token generators and lords, then close with Lathril's 10-Elf drain or a giant Skemfar Shadowsage life swing; the secondary path is a Flourishing Defenses + High Perfect Morcant engine. Maralen provides card advantage and a swing-turn enabler rather than being the win condition itself. No double-faced hidden commander exists; Lathril, Blade of the Elves serves as the closest lieutenant, offering both token generation and a direct kill.
